Spurgeon's Prayer: Beginning Again at the Cross

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (BSB)

We have need of new beginnings every day.
— Charles Spurgeon

Lord, as we begin this new day, we come to the foot of the cross once more. We acknowledge that we are in constant need of Your grace, and we thank You that in Christ, we are made new. The old has gone, and the new has come! Today, we start afresh, resting in the finished work of our Savior.

Father, we ask that You renew our faith and strengthen our hope. If we have grown weary or distant, we return to You now. We begin again at the cross, trusting in Your mercy and grace. Help us to live as new creations, walking in the freedom of the salvation You have provided through Jesus.

We confess that we often try to live in our own strength, but today we surrender all to You. We trust in Christ alone, knowing that His life, death, and resurrection have secured our salvation. Let today be a day of new beginnings as we live in the light of Your love.

Thank You for the cross, where we find forgiveness, healing, and hope. We trust in Your grace to carry us through this day, and we commit our lives to You. Amen.
