Spurgeon's Prayer: The Power of Christ’s Sacrifice
For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit,

The cross is the place where all the wounds of sin are healed.
— Charles Spurgeon
Heavenly Father, we come before You tonight with hearts full of gratitude for the cross of Christ. We thank You for the great sacrifice of Jesus, who suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to You. There is no greater love, no greater gift than this. As we reflect on this day, we are humbled by the power of the cross and the freedom it brings.
Lord, deepen our understanding of Christ’s sacrifice. Help us to grasp the magnitude of what He has done for us. We are forgiven, healed, and made new because of the blood that was shed at Calvary. We thank You for the forgiveness we find at the cross and for the healing that flows from Christ’s wounds.
Tonight, we ask for the grace to live in the freedom purchased by Christ’s blood. May we walk in the knowledge that we are no longer slaves to sin but are free to live as children of God. Help us to live each day in the light of the cross, letting its power shape our thoughts, words, and actions.
As we rest, we do so in the confidence that Christ’s sacrifice is enough. It has accomplished everything needed for our salvation, and we trust in the finished work of the cross. Thank You, Lord, for the cross, for the forgiveness it offers, and for the new life it brings. We rest in Your grace tonight. Amen.
