Spurgeon's Prayer: Streams of Righteousness

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and currents on the dry ground. I will pour out My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring.
— Isaiah 44:3 (BSB)

If God does not send a mighty downpour upon His people, we shall look in vain for the gracious showers that shall water the seed of the church.
— Charles Spurgeon

Heavenly Father, as we come before You this evening, we pray for the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon Your Church and upon this land. We are thirsty for more of You, and we long to see streams of righteousness flow through hearts that have become dry. Lord, send Your Spirit to renew and revive us, so that we may be filled with Your power and presence.

We ask for spiritual revival, a mighty downpour of Your grace that will refresh and restore Your people. Let the rivers of living water flow, bringing new life to those who are weary and dry. May Your Spirit move powerfully in our churches, homes, and communities, turning hearts back to You. Lord, we need You, and we cry out for more of Your presence.

Father, we also pray for future generations. Pour out Your blessing upon our children and descendants, that they may know You and serve You faithfully. We ask that You would raise up a generation that loves righteousness and walks in the ways of the Lord. May they experience the fullness of Your Spirit and be equipped to carry the Gospel forward.

As we rest tonight, we trust that You are at work in ways we cannot see. We thank You for the promise that You will pour water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground. Let Your Spirit flow, bringing revival and renewal to all who seek You. Amen.
