Spurgeon's Prayer: The Unspeakable Gift of Christ
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
— 2 Corinthians 9:15 (BSB)
Jesus is the precious gift, the unspeakable gift of God to man.
— Charles Spurgeon
Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the unspeakable gift of Christ. You have given us the most precious gift of all—Your Son, Jesus Christ. His love for us is beyond words, and we thank You for His sacrifice, His grace, and His presence in our lives. May we never take this gift for granted, but always be mindful of how much it cost.
Lord, today we want our hearts to overflow with praise. You know all things, and You know that we love You. May our love for Christ bubble up like a boiling cauldron, filling us with joy and gratitude. Even when words fail us, may our hearts be eloquent with silent praise, as we reflect on the wonder of Christ’s love for us.
Father, help us to live each day in response to the gift of grace and salvation we have received through Christ. May our lives be a continual offering of thanksgiving and praise to You. Teach us to walk in the light of Your love, always remembering the great things You have done for us.
As we go through this day, may the joy of Christ’s love fill our hearts. Let our mouths be filled with laughter and our tongues with singing, as we declare, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.” Thank You, Lord, for the unspeakable gift of Your Son. Amen.
