Spurgeon's Prayer: The Life of Christ in Us

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
— Galatians 2:20 (BSB)

Look to the cross, and live by it in all thy daily living.
— Charles Spurgeon

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the life we have in Christ. We have been crucified with Him, and now it is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us. We ask for a deeper experience of this life today, that every part of our being would be filled with His presence and power. May our hearts, minds, and spirits respond to the life of Christ within us.

Lord, we pray that You would fill our minds with holy thoughts, and guide our actions in ways that reflect the mind of Christ. May our brains be active in holy thought, and may every decision we make be aligned with Your will. Help us to put off the old self and live in the newness of life that Christ has given us.

If there are areas of our lives that are still dead or unresponsive to Your Spirit, we ask that You would quicken them today. Bring new life to every part of us, so that we may live fully for You. May we feel the power of the Holy Spirit working in us, empowering us to live as those who have been raised from the dead.

As we go through this day, help us to live in the fullness of the life that Christ offers. May we experience His peace, joy, and strength, and may our lives be a testimony to the transforming power of the Gospel. Thank You, Lord, for the life we have in Christ. Amen.
