Spurgeon's Prayer: God’s Sovereign Grace

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
— Romans 11:36 (BSB)

The will of man, when left to itself, is bound in the chains of sin; it is only the grace of God that can set it free.
— Charles Spurgeon

Father, we acknowledge that all things come from You, through You, and for You. You are sovereign over all creation, and we bow before Your majesty. We thank You for Your grace, which has saved us and brought us into Your kingdom. We confess that without Your powerful, supernatural work in our lives, we would never have turned to You. But in Your mercy, You sought us and brought us to Yourself.

Lord, we ask for Your grace to be poured out across the world. We long to see salvation come to every corner of the earth. We pray for those who are lost, that You would open their hearts and draw them to Christ. Let the light of the Gospel shine in the darkest places, and may many come to know You as Lord and Savior.

We trust in Your plan for Your Church and for all creation. You are working all things together for good, and we place our hope in Your sovereign will. Help us to rest in Your control, knowing that You are guiding history toward the fulfillment of Your purposes. We ask that You continue to strengthen Your Church, empowering us to be faithful witnesses to the Gospel.

Father, may Your grace abound in our lives, and may we reflect Your love and mercy to those around us. Let us live with the confidence that You are sovereign over all things, and may we glorify You in all we do. Amen.
