Spurgeon's Prayer: Strengthened for Service
But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
— Isaiah 40:31 (BSB)
God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill His promises, leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.
— Charles Spurgeon
Lord, as we come to the close of this day, we ask for Your strength to be renewed in us. There are many battles we face, and at times we grow weary, but we know that those who wait upon You will have their strength renewed. We look to You tonight, trusting that You will lift us up on wings like eagles, allowing us to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint.
Father, we want to be strengthened for the service You have called us to. Equip us for the battles ahead, and let us never lose heart, knowing that You are always with us. Help us to live each day in joyful anticipation of the crown of life that awaits us. Strengthen us for the work You have prepared for us, and help us endure every trial with faith and hope.
As we rest tonight, we rejoice in the hope of Your strength being renewed in us. We commit all our weariness to You, trusting that You will sustain us and give us the endurance we need for the journey ahead. Fill us with Your peace and joy as we trust in Your promises.
