Spurgeon's Prayer: Trusting God’s Guidance and Power
The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— whom shall I dread?
— Psalm 27:1 (BSB)
When you cannot trace His hand, you can trust His heart.
— Charles Spurgeon
Lord, as we close this day, we acknowledge that You are our light and our salvation. In times of fear and uncertainty, we trust in Your power to guide and protect us. There are moments when we do not understand Your ways, but we trust that Your heart is always for our good. Father, give us the strength to rest in the assurance of Your constant care, knowing that You are working in every circumstance.
Help us to surrender our fears to You, trusting that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Just as a shepherd watches over his sheep, You watch over us with love and care. May we rest tonight in the peace that comes from knowing we are always safe in Your hands.
Father, we know that there are challenges ahead, but we trust in Your strength to carry us through. You are our refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble. We ask for Your guidance as we navigate the difficulties of life, trusting that You will light our path.
As we lay down to sleep, we commit all our worries and concerns to You. We know that You are in control, and we trust that You will work everything for our good. Let us rest tonight in the confidence that You are our protector and guide.
