Spurgeon's Prayer: Praying for Revival and Unity

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!
— Psalm 133:1 (BSB)

The prayer meeting is the place to meet with the Holy Ghost, and this is the way to call down His power.
— Charles Spurgeon

Heavenly Father, we lift up Your church to You this evening. We are burdened by the divisions and struggles that have weakened our witness. Lord, we ask for a revival to sweep across Your people. Let the dew of heaven rest upon every part of Your vineyard, refreshing the souls of believers around the world. Strengthen Your Church, O Lord, that we may shine brightly in a dark world.

Father, we long for unity among Your people. We pray that divisions may be healed and that believers would come together in love and harmony. If visible unity is not possible, let the invisible unity that exists between true believers be more clearly recognized. Let us work together for the glory of Your kingdom, standing firm in the truth of Your Word and not being swayed by the ways of the world.

We ask for a cleansing of Your Church, Lord. Rid us of anything that is unscriptural or contrary to the teachings passed down by Christ and His apostles. Restore us to the purity of Your Word, that we may stand as a faithful testimony to the world. Lord, bring Your people back to the truth and help us hold fast to sound doctrine.

As we rest tonight, we pray for unity and revival in Your Church. Let the world see the power of the Gospel through the love and unity of Your people. Cleanse us, restore us, and use us for Your glory.
