And when the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. — John 1:37 BSB
The Church of Christ had a humble beginning. Two young men went home with Jesus one day and discovered that He was the Messiah. One of them, Andrew, was so excited that he immediately went to find his brother, telling him, “We have found the Messiah.” Then we read a simple but powerful statement: “He brought him to Jesus.” It took just a few moments, but the impact was tremendous.
The brother Andrew brought to Jesus was Peter, one of the greatest figures in the New Testament. We never know, when we bring someone to Christ, how that one decision might impact the world. Andrew may not have been a very prominent apostle himself, but bringing his brother to Jesus was a monumental act. Even if he had done nothing else, it was worth his life to bring Peter to Christ.
Bringing one person to the Savior and setting them on the path of faith can change the world.
