Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. — John 2:11 BSB

It’s said that in performing His first miracle, Jesus “manifested His glory.” The glory was always there—His divine power—but this was the moment it was first revealed. In this case, His glory was shown through a simple act of kindness.

At a wedding feast, the host ran out of wine. Imagine his embarrassment—how could he explain this to his guests? Jesus stepped in and used His divine power to turn water into wine, saving the host from shame.

The glory of Christ was just as evident in His small acts of kindness—such as comforting the sorrowful or blessing little children—as it was in His great miracles, like raising the dead. In the same way, we show Christ’s love just as much in simple, everyday acts of kindness as we would in performing grand deeds.
