We need someone stronger than any threat we face to protect us. There are forces that seek to steal the treasures of our lives. It won’t do to have a weak guard—we need Christ as our protector. He is the only one strong enough to defend us against all enemies.

It’s not enough to drive out evil; we must fill our hearts with good things, or the evil will return. Many people try to improve their lives by stopping bad habits, but if they don’t replace those habits with something good, they often return to their old ways. The only way to truly change is to let Christ fill our hearts. Remove bitterness, jealousy, and hatred, and let Christ come in and make your heart His home. Napoleon once said, “To replace is to conquer.” The best way to defeat evil is to replace it with good.
