The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. — Prov 1:7 BSB
Imagine writing down six zeros—000,000. By themselves, they mean nothing. But if you put a number in front of them, like a five, they all suddenly count for something—5,000,000. Human knowledge without God is like those zeros. A young person can graduate with honors in medicine or law, but without Christ, all their achievements are like a row of zeros. But once they give their life to Christ, every accomplishment gains value. It’s like putting a figure before the row of zeros—everything suddenly has meaning and purpose.
The more someone knows, the more they can be, if they love and obey God. But that’s the key to true wisdom. Without it, no matter how much someone achieves, their life ends in failure—and the more they achieve, the greater the failure.
