For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity. — Ps 84:11 BSB
The Lord will give grace and glory. The word “glory” is hard to define or explain, but the spiritual consciousness of a believer can sense its meaning. It’s the overflow of grace, the wine of life, a foretaste of heaven, and a flash of divine inspiration from God’s heart. Jesus prayed, “The glory that You gave Me, I have given them.” Let’s take hold of this glory and live in it.
David often prayed, “Awake, my glory!” Ask God to awaken your glory and lift you up like an eagle soaring, dwelling on high, and sitting with Christ in heavenly places.
Mounting up with wings as eagles,
Waiting on the Lord, we rise.
Strength exchanging, life renewing,
How our spirit heavenward flies.
Then our feet, refreshed, return
To walk the pathway of the saint.
We shall run and not grow weary,
We shall walk and never faint.
