As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love. — John 15:9 BSB
There are many different atmospheres in which people live. Some live in an atmosphere of thought. Their faces reflect deep contemplation, and their lives are centered around ideas, intellectual pursuits, and refined tastes. Others live in an atmosphere of physical desires, indulging the lusts of the flesh and the pleasures of this world. Some live in a world of duty, driven by conscience. While their lives are marked by uprightness, there’s often a shadow of fear that robs them of joy and freedom.
But Christ calls us to live in an atmosphere of love. “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you; remain in My love.” In the original text, it says, “Live in My love.” This is the atmosphere He desires for us, a life filled with the assurance of His love, constantly seeking His approval and care. This is a life of love.
