Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. — Rom 12:2 BSB
The water in an engine can exist in three conditions. First, the boiler may be full of clean, clear water. Second, the water may not only be full but also hot—almost boiling. Third, the water may be at the boiling point, releasing steam, which drives the mighty pistons that turn the wheels and propel the train across the country.
There are three types of Christians as well. First, we have the “cold water” Christians, or perhaps better called “clean water” Christians. Then, there are the “hot water” Christians, who are almost at the boiling point. Finally, we come to the “boiling water” Christians. The difference between the last two is slight, but it changes everything. That one degree makes the engine a powerful force, not just an object to be observed but a vehicle of action and purpose.
