Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you. — 1 Pet 5:6 BSB

Opposition is necessary for balance. Just as the forces of gravity and momentum act together to keep the planets in orbit, the push and pull of life’s challenges keeps us in balance. The things that seem to oppose us—temptations, trials, and setbacks—are often the very things that stabilize us and push us toward growth.

Let’s thank God for both the weights and the wings, and keep moving forward with faith and patience in our heavenly calling.

Lord, help me to learn from all that comes my way today, and to follow Your highest will.

Lord, help me today to submit to Your hand, so You can have Your way and will in my life.
