Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him. — Ps 62:5 BSB

When we believe for a blessing, we must take the position of faith and begin to act and pray as if we have already received it. We must treat God as if He has already granted our request. We must lean fully on Him for the thing we've claimed, trusting that He has given it and will continue to give it. This is the posture of trust. When a woman marries, she immediately steps into a new role and behaves according to that reality. In the same way, when we accept Christ as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, or Deliverer, He expects us to adopt the attitude of recognizing Him in that role and to expect Him to be all that we trust Him to be.

You can bring Him every care and burden,
You can tell Him every need in prayer,
You can trust Him in the darkest moment,
He is caring, so why should you care?
Faith reaches its culmination,
When the victor's thankful song we raise:
In the glorious city of salvation,
God has told us all the gates are praise.
