Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. — 1 Cor 13:8 BSB

In our work for God, it’s important to find the key to people’s hearts and to recognize something good as a point of contact for spiritual influence. When Jesus met the woman at the well, He focused on the best part of her, and through that, He reached her heart, drawing out a confession of her need for salvation.

A Scottish man once said that his salvation was all due to a good man who once put his arm around him and said, "John, by the grace of God, we’ll make a man of you yet."

The old legend tells of a dead dog lying in the street, with everyone passing by and saying negative things, until Jesus came along. He, however, admired the dog’s beautiful teeth.

Only Christ can live and love like this.
The Christ-love from the living Christ must spring.
O Jesus! come and live Thy life in me,
And all Thy heaven of love and blessing bring.
