A true and pure Christian life attracts the world. There are many people who find nothing appealing in the lives of ordinary Christians, but who are immediately drawn to a victorious, genuine example. Many men of the world are more likely to step into a life of full consecration than to take the usual "intermediate" steps that are often presented to them.

I recall one audience where a man who had lived without Christ for over fifty years—a prominent citizen, a man of irreproachable character and intellect—rose to ask for prayers after a service on deeper spiritual life. By the end of the week, he had become a true follower of Jesus. He said, "If that is the religion of Jesus Christ, I want it."
