Rejoice at all times. — 1 Thess 5:16 BSB
Don’t lose your joy, no matter what else you lose. Keep the spirit of spring. "Rejoice always," and again I say, "Rejoice."
The loss of Canaan began with murmuring: "When the people, as it were, murmured, it displeased the Lord." Their first break in fellowship and faltering in progress came when they began to doubt, complain, and fret.
Oh, keep your heart free from the corrosion of depression, discouragement, distrust, and gloom, for Satan cannot defeat a joyful and praiseful soul.
Be alert to the beginnings of sin. Don’t let the first hint of evil take root. It is the first step that leads to downfall. Stay encased in the Holy Spirit and the life of Jesus so that evil cannot reach you.
The small fly on the inside of the window may seem threatened by the bird attacking it from outside, but the glass barrier keeps it just as safe as if there were a wall of iron.
