God's Multiplication Table

The least of you will become a thousand, and the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will accomplish it quickly. — Isa 60:22 BSB

Works for the Lord often start small, and there’s no harm in that. Small beginnings build faith, bring God close, and bring glory to His name. Cherish the promises of growth! The mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, grows into a great plant with branches that provide shelter for the birds. You may begin with one small effort, but it will multiply. The Lord delights in multiplying His blessings. How often did He say to His servant, “I will multiply you!” Trust in the Lord, whether you are few in number or starting small, for He is in your midst if you gather in His name.

“A small one.” How easily the world despises this! But that “small one” can be the seed of a great nation. Just as one star appears first in the evening sky, soon the heavens will be filled with countless lights.

And don’t think this increase will take forever—God promises, “I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” There won’t be a hurried rush, like in overexcited meetings, but it will come at the perfect time, without delay. When the Lord moves, His pace is magnificent.
