Invitation to Pray

Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know. — Jer 33:3 BSB

God encourages us to pray. Some people say that prayer is just a spiritual exercise that has no effect beyond the person praying. We know better. Our experience has proven this false time and time again. Here, the living God clearly promises to answer the prayers of His servants. Let us call on Him again, without any doubt about whether He hears and answers us. The One who made our ears will surely hear us, and the One who gave parents a love for their children will surely listen to the cries of His own sons and daughters!

God will answer those who cry out to Him in distress. He has wonders in store for them—things they’ve never seen, heard of, or even imagined. If necessary, He will create new blessings. He will search every corner of the earth to meet their needs. He will even send angels from heaven if their situation requires it. He will overwhelm us with His grace and make us marvel at His goodness. All He asks is that we call upon Him. He couldn’t ask for anything less. Let’s gladly offer our prayers to Him right now.
