Perfect Purity
Like them, he who overcomes will be dressed in white. And I will never blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and His angels. — Rev 3:5 BSB
Soldier of the cross, press on! Don’t rest until your victory is complete, for your eternal reward will far outweigh the struggle.
Here is perfect purity promised to you. A few in Sardis kept their garments unstained, and their reward is to be clothed in spotless robes. Perfect holiness is the prize of our high calling—don’t miss out on it.
Here is joy. You will wear festive robes like those worn at wedding celebrations. You will be clothed with gladness and joy. The pain of struggle will give way to peace of conscience and delight in the Lord.
Here is victory. You will receive palm branches, crowns, and white robes as your reward. You will be treated as a conqueror, and the Lord Himself will acknowledge your triumph.
Here is priestly honor. You will stand before the Lord in the same type of garments the sons of Aaron wore. You will offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and approach the Lord with the incense of praise.
Who wouldn’t fight for a Lord who gives such great honors to His faithful servants? Who wouldn’t wear a fool’s coat for Christ, knowing that He will clothe us in eternal glory?
