Nothing to Alarm Us

But as for you, go on your way until the end. You will rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days. — Dan 12:13 BSB

We may not understand every prophecy, but we can still read them with hope, not fear. There is nothing in God’s decree that should alarm His children. Even if the “abomination of desolation” is set up, the true believer will remain undefiled, purified, and refined through trials. Though the earth may burn, no harm will come to God’s chosen people. In the midst of chaos and destruction, the Lord Jehovah will protect His own.

Let us remain resolute in our duty, brave in conflict, and patient in suffering. The end will come in God’s perfect timing. Until then, let us continue on our journey without straying from the path or slowing down.

Rest will come. Everything else may change and shake, but our foundation in God is secure. God rests in His love, and so we rest in Him. Our peace will flow like a river, constant and unwavering. A place in the heavenly Canaan awaits us, and we will stand in it, no matter what. The same God who protected Daniel will also provide for those who, like him, dare to stand for truth and holiness. Nothing, not even a den of lions, can take away our inheritance.
