Go; Take Your Property
See, the LORD your God has placed the land before you. Go up and take possession of it as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has told you. Do not be afraid or discouraged. — Deut 1:21 BSB
There is a heritage of grace that we should boldly claim as our own. All the spiritual gains that one believer has achieved are available to others. We may become strong in faith, fervent in love, and abundant in service; nothing prevents us from attaining these heights—let us rise up and claim them. The sweetest experiences and brightest graces are just as available to us as they are to any of our brethren; Jehovah has set them before us. No one can deny our right to them, so let us go forth and possess them in His name.
Likewise, the world lies before us, waiting to be conquered for the Lord Jesus. We are not to leave any corner of it unconquered. That dark neighborhood nearby is not meant to defeat our efforts but to yield to them. We need only summon the courage to go forward, and we will win dark homes and hardened hearts for Christ. Let us never leave people in need because we lack the faith in Jesus and His gospel to go forth and possess the land. No place is too dark, no person so far gone as to be beyond the reach of grace. Let cowardice depart; faith marches on to victory.
