Love and Seek True Wisdom

I love those who love me, and those who seek me early shall find me. — Prov 8:17 BSB

Wisdom loves those who love her and seeks out those who look for her. If you’re seeking wisdom, you’re already wise, and if you’re searching for her diligently, you’re close to finding her. What’s true of wisdom in general is especially true of the wisdom found in our Lord Jesus. We are called to love and seek Him, and in return, we will experience His love and discover Him.

We should make it our priority to seek Jesus early in life. How blessed are the young who start their mornings with Jesus! It’s never too early to seek the Lord. Those who seek Him early will surely find Him. We should also seek Him with diligence. Just as successful businesspeople rise early, thriving believers eagerly seek Jesus. When we find Jesus and grow rich in Him, we give our hearts fully to seeking Him. We must put Him first, above everything else. Jesus comes first, and nothing else even comes close.

The promise is that we will find Him. As we search for Him, He reveals Himself more and more. Blessed are those who seek One who, once found, stays with them forever—a treasure that becomes increasingly precious to their hearts and minds.

Lord Jesus, I have found You; now let me find You in a way that brings overwhelming joy and satisfaction.
