Spurgeon's Prayer: Guided by His Presence

I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you.
— Psalm 32:8 (BSB)

Remember this: had any other condition been better for you than the one in which you are, Divine Love would have put you there.
— Charles Spurgeon

Father in heaven, as we close this day, we look to You for guidance. Your Word promises that You will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go, and so we place our trust in Your loving care. We ask for Your wisdom in the decisions we face, both big and small. Show us the path we should take, and lead us in the way of righteousness.

Lord, there are times when we do not understand the direction our lives are going. In those moments, help us to trust in Your plan. You are always working for our good, and we know that You see the bigger picture. Teach us to rest in Your wisdom, knowing that You will never lead us astray.

As we seek to follow Your guidance, give us hearts that are fully obedient to Your will. Help us to trust that wherever You lead, You will provide. We know that You have a purpose for every step we take, and we want to walk in faith, confident that You are guiding us with love.

Tonight, we place our lives in Your hands, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. Guide us in the way we should go, and help us to follow where You lead. Thank You for being our Shepherd, our Counselor, and our Guide. We rest in the assurance that You are always watching over us. Amen.
