Spurgeon's Prayer: Longing for Revival and Renewal

Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?
— Psalm 85:6 (BSB)

A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats. May God send us revival!
— Charles Spurgeon

Father, as we come before You tonight, we long for revival in Your Church. We pray that You would renew the hearts of Your people and awaken us to a deeper love for You. Lord, revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You. We pray that the Church would be filled with a fresh passion for Your Word and a zeal to spread the Gospel.

We ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, that it would awaken hearts to the truth of Your Word. May there be a powerful movement of Your Spirit that turns the hearts of Your people back to You, bringing renewal and revival to the Church. Let the preaching of Christ be filled with power, and may many come to faith through the faithful proclamation of the Gospel.

Lord, we also pray for personal renewal in our walk with You. Keep us from growing weary in our faith, and fill us with fresh zeal for Your kingdom. May we not be content with lukewarmness, but may we be on fire for You, walking in the joy of our salvation and filled with the Holy Spirit.

As we rest tonight, we pray that You would continue to work in our hearts, drawing us closer to You. May we wake tomorrow with a renewed sense of purpose and a deep desire to live for Your glory. Lord, send revival to Your Church and renewal to our hearts, for Your glory and the advancement of Your kingdom. Amen.
