Spurgeon's Prayer: A Life of Worship
Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
— Romans 12:1 (BSB)
Let your life be the song of praise that your lips cannot express.
— Charles Spurgeon
Father, we come before You, offering not only our words but our very lives as an act of worship. We know that true worship is not limited to moments of prayer or song but is a life lived for Your glory. Help us, Lord, to make every part of our lives a sacrifice of praise to You. We know that to pray is to serve, to give is to praise, to obey is to adore, and that life itself is the best form of worship. May we live in such a way that every moment reflects our devotion to You.
Lord, we pray that our lives may not be fruitless or wasted. Let every hour bear witness to the truth of Your Gospel and the grace that has transformed us. We ask for the help of Your Spirit, that we may spend our days in genuine worship. Tune our hearts, Lord, so that the music of our lives may be in harmony with Your will. Let there be no false notes or dissonance, but may everything we do be in line with the sacred score that You have written for us in Christ.
Help us to glorify You in our words, our actions, and our thoughts. May our lives be a testimony to Your goodness and love, that others may see the light of Christ shining through us. We long to live lives of worship that please You, O God, and bring honor to Your name. With the help of Your Spirit, may we keep our lives in tune with Your will, that the song of our lives may be sweet music to Your ears. Amen.
