Spurgeon's Prayer: Living for God's Glory

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31 (BSB)

Our business is to glorify God, and the best way to do it is to do good to other men.
— Charles Spurgeon

Father, we come before You with a desire to live for Your glory in all that we do. We recognize that our purpose on this earth is to bring glory to Your name, and we ask that You help us to do so in every aspect of our lives. Whether in our work, our relationships, or our daily choices, may everything we do be for Your glory.

Lord, we ask that You help us to live lives that reflect Your holiness and love. Keep us from sin, and guide us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. May we be known as people who walk in the light, shining the love of Christ to those around us. Let our actions and words be a reflection of Your goodness, and may others see Christ in us.

Father, we know that the world is full of temptation, but we ask for Your strength to resist sin and live for Your purpose. Keep us from being conformed to the patterns of this world, and transform us by the renewing of our minds. May we live each day with the knowledge that our lives are not our own, but they belong to You.

Lord, may Your name be glorified in us. Help us to live in such a way that when others see us, they see Your love, grace, and holiness. May our lives be a testimony to Your greatness, and may everything we do point others to You. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
