Spurgeon's Prayer: Heirs of the Promise

Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise.
— Galatians 4:28 (BSB)

The promise was made to Abraham and to his seed. He believed it and was blessed. We believe it, and we are blessed with him.
— Charles Spurgeon

Father, we thank You for the incredible privilege of being heirs according to the promise. Through Christ, we have become like Isaac, children of the promise and heirs of the kingdom. This is not something we could have earned, but it is a gift of Your grace. We rejoice in this promise, knowing that it secures our future in eternity with You.

We dwell in the house of the Father, and our souls are satisfied in Your presence. You have given us every spiritual blessing in Christ, and we are filled with joy as we rest in the knowledge that we are loved, redeemed, and secure in Your hands. Our hearts overflow with praise, for we are heirs of a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Lord, we ask that You would help us to live each day in light of this promise. Let us not forget who we are in Christ—heirs of the promise, born of the Spirit, and destined for eternal life with You. May we live with confidence and joy, knowing that we are sons and daughters of the Great Father in heaven.

Father, we look forward to the fulfillment of this promise, when we will dwell with You forever in the house of the Lord. Until that day, may we live as faithful heirs, reflecting the love and grace You have shown us. Amen.
