Spurgeon's Prayer: For the Nations and the Church

Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all peoples.
— Psalm 96:3 (BSB)

To be a Christian is to be a missionary. Wherever he goes, he ought to carry the fragrance of Christ with him.
— Charles Spurgeon

Father, we come before You with a deep desire for the spread of Your kingdom across the world. The nations are perishing daily without the knowledge of Christ, and we long to see Your Word reach every corner of the earth. Let Your glory be declared among the nations, and may the message of salvation in Christ spread like wildfire.

We pray for the Church, that it would be a faithful witness to Your truth. Bless its work, Lord, and strengthen all who labor for the cause of Christ. Whether in large congregations or as individuals working alone, let their efforts bear fruit for Your kingdom. May Your name be proclaimed by thousands, and may the light of the gospel shine brightly in the darkest places of the world.

Lord, we also ask for Your blessing on the messengers of the gospel. Ignite their words with divine fire and give them boldness to proclaim the truth. Let the work of evangelism be empowered by Your Spirit, so that hearts would be transformed and lives would be saved. We long to see entire nations come to know You and bow before Your throne.

We pray that Your kingdom would come and Your will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. May we be part of the great work of bringing the gospel to the world, and may we see a great harvest of souls for Your glory. Amen.
