Experience the Best Evidence

“Does our law convict a man without first hearing from him to determine what he has done?” — John 7:51 BSB

Nicodemus stood up for justice, asking that Jesus not be condemned without a fair hearing. This principle of fairness should apply today to those who speak against Christ. His enemies are never those who have truly tested His promises and found them lacking. The world has never seen a genuine follower of Christ who tried His salvation and came away disappointed.

All who have trusted Him have found every word to be true. No one who has known Him as Savior, Helper, and Friend has ever turned against Him. Those who oppose Christ do so without knowing Him. They judge Him without having heard Him. Is this fair? Is it just to condemn someone without knowing the facts? Would it be right to reject a book we haven’t read, or dismiss someone we’ve never met?

No one has the right to reject Christ without first honestly examining His claims. No one should turn away from Him until they find something better—something that provides greater help in trouble, better salvation in their lost state, something that can transform them into a better person and lift them to greater heights of holiness and beauty.

The best evidence for Christianity is experience. "Come and see" is better than any argument. If we can get people to try Christ for themselves, they won’t be quick to condemn Him.
