The Patriarchs Examples to the Afflicted

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of withnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. — Heb 12:1

Once they were mourning here below,
And wet their couch with tears;
They wrestled hard, as we do now,
With sins, and doubts, and fears.
