Christ an Example to the Afflicted

Even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. — 1 Pet 2:21

Our glorious Leader claims our praise
For his own pattern given,
While the long cloud of witnesses
Show the same path to heaven.
