The soul’s disease is sin, and Christ is the only physician who can heal it.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
“Heal my soul, for I have sinned against you.” And for this, the godly praise the Lord, saying, “He heals all our diseases.” What an incredible comfort it is that in Jesus “all the fullness of the Godhead lives in bodily form!” My soul, whatever your sickness may be, this great Physician can heal you.
If he is God, there is no limit to his power. Come just as you are, for if he is truly God, he can surely heal you of your affliction. No one can stop the healing power that flows from Jesus our Lord. All his patients in the past were healed, and so will you be, my friend, if you place your trust in him.

Anyone who boasts about their own grace has little grace to boast of. Some people think their spiritual strength can sustain itself, forgetting that the stream must constantly flow from the source, or else it will dry up. If the oil supply to a lamp is
cut off, it may burn brightly today, but tomorrow it will sputter and go out. So, don’t boast in your own spiritual achievements; instead, let all your confidence be in Christ and his strength, for only then can you be kept from falling.
