Today’s Quote
Affliction is a bitter pill, which, being enrapt up in patience and quiet submission, may be easily swallowed. But discontent chews the pill, and so embitters the soul.
— John Flavel
Spurgeon’s Daily Help
When believers in Jesus rest in peace, their souls enjoy constant fellowship with Him—much better fellowship than we can have here. We only get brief glimpses of His face; they gaze upon Him every moment. We see Him "through a glass, darkly"; they see Him "face to face." We sip from the stream along
the way; they dive into the ocean of His boundless love. We look up sometimes and see our Father smile; whenever they look, His face is always smiling at them. We receive some drops of comfort; they get the whole honeycomb. They are full of peace, full of joy forever. They "sleep in Jesus."

No one should consider the war over until they are safely inside the pearly gates, because even if there are just five minutes left to live, Satan will try to use that time to cause harm. The enemy may attack like a flood just when you think you can relax
and enjoy the peace of Heaven. "What I say to you, I say to everyone: watch."

Spurgeon’s Quote
The angels never doubt God, nor do the devils. Man alone, out of all the beings that God has made, dishonor Him by unbelief.
