Tears of repentance are precious jewels in God’s sight, a mark of true strength.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
He who loves much must weep much; in this valley of tears, much love and much sorrow often go hand in hand. Tears can often be a sign of strength. There are times when they are the noblest thing in the world. The tears of a repentant person are precious; a cup of them would be worth a king’s ransom.
It’s not a sign of weakness when a person weeps over their sins; it shows they have strength of character. Even more, it shows that God has given them the strength to renounce their desires, overcome their passions, and turn to God with all their heart.

God, like a wise father, trains us carefully, and as we grow stronger, He gives us more challenging work and harder trials. Just as boys rejoice to be treated like men, we should rejoice in our greater challenges, because they are opportunities for us
to do grown-up work. With God’s help, we won’t shy away from these tasks. "Act like men; be strong."
