My own view of the precious blood of Christ is for my comfort, but it’s God’s view of it that secures my safety. Even when I can’t see it, the Lord sees it and passes over me because of it. No one can understand how much delight God takes in Jesus. Now, we can rest in perfect security. We have God’s

sacrifice and God’s word to create in us a sense of complete safety. He will, He must, pass over us because He did not spare our glorious substitute. Justice and love together provide everlasting salvation for all those covered by the blood.

Christian men should remember that there are many false lights shining along the shores of life, and so the true light is desperately needed. Satan’s agents are always out there, tempting the ungodly to sin under the guise of pleasure. They put up the

wrong lights; it’s up to us to put up the true light on every dangerous rock, to point out every sin, and to show where it leads so that we can be free of the blood of all men, shining as lights in the world.
