Today’s Quote
If you profess to know Christ, have nothing to do with a sinful world. Shake off the viper into the fire, for it will poison you and destroy you!

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
Christ must be the ruler of our hearts, and sin must be put to death. If your life is unholy, your heart hasn’t been changed; you’re not saved. If the Savior hasn’t made you holy, renewed you, given you a hatred for sin and a love for righteousness, then the grace that doesn’t make you better than others
is a worthless counterfeit. Christ saves His people not in their sins, but from their sins. "Without holiness, no one will see the Lord." "Let everyone who calls on the name of Christ turn away from wickedness." If you’re not saved from sin, how can you hope to be counted among His people? Lord, save me now from all evil, and help me to honor my Savior.

School boards may have many subjects to teach, but they don’t need to include a class on crying because it’s something all children naturally know how to do. In the same way, a spiritual cry is the voice of the new-born nature expressing its need. "How
should I pray?" someone might ask. Just pour out your heart. Turn the vessel upside down and let it all flow out, even the last drop—that’s prayer. May the Holy Spirit help you in it. "This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him."

Spurgeon’s Quote
What a man is at home, that he is. Though he is a saint abroad, if he is a devil at home, you may depend upon it that the last is his real character.
