The Atonement a Source of Joy

We joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. — Rom 5:11

There is a fountain fill’d with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins,
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty strains.

They dying thief rejoic’d to see
That fountain in his day;
And here may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.
