A man may go idle to Hell but he who will go to Heaven, must be diligent.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
If any one should ask me for an epitome of the Christian religion, I should say, it is in that one word—"prayer." If I should be asked, "What will take in the whole of Christian experience?" I should answer, "prayer." A man must have been convinced of sin before he could pray; he must have had some hope
that there was mercy for him before he could pray. All the Christian virtues are locked up in that word, prayer.
In troublous times our best communion with God will be carried on by supplication. Tell Him your case; search out His promise, and then plead it with holy boldness. This is the best, the surest, the speediest way of relief.

The heart is naturally so corrupt, that love to God was never found within it until the Lord himself placed it there. Should I see a rare exotic smiling in a hedge-row, I should know that some garden had lent it to the rugged soil; and so is it with love
to God, its seed comes from God's love to us, it springs not like a weed in the furrow, but is sown by the Lord's own hand. You may conclude, with absolute certainty, that God loves you if you love God.

Spurgeon’s Quote
I must take care above all that I cultivate communion with Christ. For though that can never be the basis of my peace, yet it will be the channel of my peace.
