This is true religion: to approve what God approves, to hate what God hates, and to delight in what God delights.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
Nothing can truly satisfy the whole person except the love of the Lord and the Lord Himself. To embrace Jesus, to live in His love, and to be fully assured of our union with Him—this is everything. You don’t need to try other ways of life to see if they’re better than the Christian life. If you explore
the whole world, you’ll find nothing as wonderful as seeing the face of the Savior. Even if you had all the comforts of life, if you lost your Savior, you would be miserable. But if you have Christ, you would find it a paradise, even if you lived in obscurity or faced great hardship. You will be satisfied with His favor and full of the goodness of the Lord.

Love the person of your Lord! Bring out the alabaster box of your heart, even if it’s broken, and pour the precious ointment of your love on His pierced feet. Engage your mind in thinking about your glorious Lord. Meditate on what you read about Him,
because He deserves all your thoughts. There has never been a Lover like Him! Love Him with your whole being.
