Spurgeon’s Daily Help
Here is the summary of all those blessed saints who died before our Lord’s coming! It doesn’t matter how they died; the most important thing is this: "They all died in faith." They lived by faith—it was their comfort, their guide, their motivation, and their support. And they died in that same faith,
ending their lives with the same sweet song they had sung all along. They didn’t die trusting in their own efforts or achievements. They never moved away from their first way of being accepted by God—they held on to faith until the end.

We may not have the privilege that John had to lean on Jesus’ chest, nor Paul’s experience of being caught up into the third Heaven, but if we are believers, we share an equal place in the heart of our Redeemer. What we don’t have is far less important
than what we do have. The blessings given to all saints are infinitely greater than the small differences in their experiences.
