Christ is never fully valued, until sin is clearly seen. We must know the depth and malignity of our disease, in order to appreciate the great Physician.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
Sometimes prayer has to wait like a petitioner at the gate until the King comes out to fill her with the blessings she seeks. When God has given someone great faith, He has been known to test it by long delays. He has let His servants’ voices echo back at them as if from a closed sky. But unanswered
prayers are not unheard prayers. Eventually, your request will be granted. Can’t you wait a little longer? Won’t God’s timing be better than yours? Eventually, He will show up in a comforting way, bringing joy to your soul. Then you’ll exchange the sackcloth and ashes of waiting for the joy and fulfillment of answered prayer.

We must always remember that we are just channels for grace; we don’t have any reserves but rely on the constant flow of the divine stream. We must stay connected to the Source of all good, or we will soon run dry, like the empty beds of mountain streams
filled with rocks and dirt. Blessed is the promise of living water that it will always flow—"in winter and summer, it will be there."
