When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear. — Luke 5:6 BSB

Christ can help us in our daily work just as much as in our spiritual matters.

The disciples had been fishing all night, and by morning their nets were empty. Jesus told them to go out again and cast their nets in a specific spot. When they followed His instruction, they were rewarded with an abundance of fish.

Some people never learn that God cares about their everyday concerns as well as their spiritual lives.

A young woman once asked for advice about finding a job. Her friend suggested she take it to God in prayer, and the young woman responded, “You wouldn’t pray about something like that, would you?”

But that’s exactly what we should do. God cares about every detail of our lives, from the smallest daily matters to the greatest spiritual needs. Jesus reminds us that even the hairs on our heads are numbered.

Nothing is too small for God’s attention.
