Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. — Mark 13:31 BSB

Christians need never fear any disaster or judgment.

Jesus predicted great destruction and trouble would come upon the land, but He told His disciples not to be afraid. No harm would come to them. They only needed to be careful not to be led astray. If they remained faithful, they would experience perfect peace through all dangers. “The one who endures to the end will be saved.”

History tells us that when the great calamity fell upon Jerusalem, no Christians died in the terrible destruction. They had been warned and obeyed their Master’s command to leave the city before the siege began, finding safety elsewhere.

Those who trust in Christ and obey His Word are always safe, no matter the danger. Even if the earth itself is destroyed, God’s children are secure in His love, from which nothing can separate them.
