And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. — Rom 8:28 BSB

People often wonder how good can come from every situation.

Here’s the answer: “We know that for those who love God, all things work together for good.”

It may not look like a particular situation can bring anything good. But God is able to take that seemingly bad thing, mix it with other things, and bring good from it. When Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, it was a terrible crime. No one could have seen how any good could come from it. But we know how the story turned out. “The Lord meant it for good.”

Once, a woman showed Mr. Ruskin a handkerchief that had an ink blot on it. Mr. Ruskin took the handkerchief and returned it days later with a beautiful India ink drawing, using the blot as part of the design.

In the same way, God can take the blots in our lives and turn them into something beautiful, as long as we love Him and remain faithful.
