Your people shall be willing on Your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, to You belongs the dew of Your youth. — Ps 110:3 BSB
Consecration is the voluntary surrender of our hearts to the Lord, motivated by love. It is a joyful declaration: "I am my Beloved’s." This surrender comes from faith, the confidence that we are safe in giving ourselves to Him. We are not leaping into the unknown but falling into the arms of a loving Father and stepping into an infinite inheritance.
What a privilege it is to offer ourselves to One who has pledged to make us all that we could ever desire to be, and far more than we could imagine. It is like the clay yielding to the potter’s hands, allowing him to shape it into a vessel of honor, ready for the Master’s use. It is like a poor orphan child becoming the heir of a prince, receiving education and provision, and being prepared to inherit all the wealth of their guardian.
